Dentist Meopham

If your tooth has broken or has been severely damaged by decay, we offer beautiful, bespoke dental crowns so we can restore your smile back to health and get you eating and chewing with confidence again.

If your tooth has weakened due to decay, a dental crown adds strength and protection, preventing future problems and discomfort. At Meopham Dental Care, we create dental crowns that look and feel natural, and that can last for many years.

What is a crown?

A crown is a dental restoration which replenishes the appearance and integrity of a damaged tooth. If you require a dental crown, your dentist will carefully remove the affected enamel and take impressions of the tooth so that our laboratory can build your bespoke crown. This will be fitted at your next visit.

Dental crowns can be made from metal or ceramic. Most patients prefer ceramic dental crowns as these are tooth-coloured, so they blend in with the natural teeth.

Why do I need a Dental Crown?

A dental crown can be used in a number of circumstances. These include:

  •  To restore a broken or damaged tooth
  •  To replace an old discoloured filling
  •  To protect a tooth that has had root canal treatment
  •  To anchor a dental bridge in place
