What is a crown?

A crown is a dental restoration which replenishes the appearance and integrity of a damaged tooth. If you require a dental crown, your dentist will carefully remove the affected enamel and take impressions of the tooth so that our laboratory can build your bespoke crown. This will be fitted at your next visit.

Dental crowns can be made from metal or ceramic. Most patients prefer ceramic dental crowns as these are tooth-coloured, so they blend in with the natural teeth.

Why do I need a Dental Crown?
